Pleasing to the eye but narratively befuddled, Jupiter Ascending delivers another visually thrilling misfire from the Wachowskis.

Brent McKnight Seattle Times No amount of visual pyrotechnics, no matter how spectacular, can save such a tired, weak story. Rated: C- Jul 6, 2020 Full Review Jason Bailey Flavorwire The storytelling is clumsy, the characters are befuddling, and the Wachowskis' action sequences - once so graceful and thrilling - are ugly, noisy, and worst of all, boring. Nathan W Mila Kunis stinks like rotten tomatoes in this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Jeremey S One of my favorite movies. Eddy Redmayne knocked it out of the park! I would have liked a prequel to establish order but it was easy enough to follow along. I think this movie should become a cult classic and I’d love to see this universe revisited. If only it had received the Dune treatment from the get go! Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum should be proud of this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/27/24 Full Review Rhiannon M A wealth of missed potential, though visually interesting Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Shane O If there was more of a focus on character development and interaction it would have been a much better movie . Why do they fall in love ? They just do, Don’t ask questions !! . The world building was cool but they tried to pack to much into a one film . Also channing tatum’s make up / look was ridiculous Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Mateo C altísima garchísima. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Jason T Three royal siblings fighting over the inheritance. The main character gets caught up in a a royal family drama but she’s not afraid to get stuck in with the action. Amazing performances from Eddie Redmayne, Mila Kunis and Douglas Booth. The plot is not complicated so I’m not sure why some failed to follow it. You will love the visuals. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review Read all reviews
