Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex. When the massive creature escapes, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the other dinos to run amok. Now, it's up to a former military man and animal expert to use his special skills to save two young brothers and the rest of the tourists from an all-out, prehistoric assault.

Just as the dictionary definition of "spectacle" states, the blockbuster is unusual, notable, and entertaining in an eye-catching, dramatic, and very public way. It is big, loud, and dumb, but, hot damn, it sure is fun.

A soulless and shallow attempt at recreating the original's magic, it's not bad but the logistics and the characters seem to have no care, the final battle while a show of spectacle it has no logic behind it with the Mosasaurus jumping out of the water while the Indominus Rex roars, it makes no sense and all it does is to make a sure, cool shot but it has no point in it otherwise, and the characters are not interesting, Claire Dearing is annoying, Owen Grady is made the badass hero with no pay off or reason, the Villain is horrendous and cliché, only Masrani was a likeable character with good motivations, it's not a bad movie, but it has little going for it.

Not very smart, but thoroughly entertaining and thrilling. While this is the 2nd best entry in the franchise, I still don’t think it’s legitimately GREAT. It has some really goofy ideas like dinosaur wrangling and creating bio-genetically engineered dinosaurs, just dumb blockbuster stuff. But it is immensely entertaining and fun, the cast is extremely charming who have great chemistry, and it just gives you what you want from one of these movies. I can’t defend its stupidity, but I feel like it just works.

People compared it way too much to the original. There's a reason it's called a "sequel"! It's a great continuation of the original, set in an interesting time where dinosaurs are now common. I love the idea of hybrid dinosaurs being created!
