Jord M I like these animation types with a Shrek vibe Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review Audience Member THIS IS THE BEST MOVI IVE EVER WSEEN. The plot was absolutely incredible, very captivating. Had me at the edge of my seat, made me cry, laugh, stress. All of the emotions, and had a tight grip on me. I watch this movie at least once a week with my grandpa who is dying soon, due to cancer of the lungs. He has severe amnesia so he often forgets the plot, but I do not mind, as it is the best movie ever created. I am 11 and a girl btw. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, the story is quite predictable but kept me entertained throughout. The wizard is bloody annoying but it's acceptable. Talia is absolutely gorgeous also. Makes me wish there was a sequel. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly the only thing i can say is that i enjoyed it. I have no idea why but i enjoyed it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member The voice acting is serviceable, the animation is decent, albeit bland, and there are a few funny jokes. I don't think there's anything offensive in this movie and I'm sure children will be distracted for an hour and a half. Yet the lazy script, generic plot and underwhelming action sequences make this a rather forgettable cartoon. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review jonathan b Very flat uninspired story full of clichà (C)s, which unfortunately are not used for funny jokes. Someone really seems to have a problem with lawyers and got the weird idea that young kids would connect to that. So, boring dialogue, no surprises in the story. Decent animation technically, but without any "heart" that would makes it special. The few attempts at adult humour, e.g. turning an old tavern into something akin to a fast food chain ain't funny, but they break the story/world immersion. As well known as the voice cast is in the English version, they seemed to have phoned this one in. It's the first time that the localized version sounds better than the English one. So, it's hard to find something good to say about this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Andrew Osmond Empire Magazine A generally dreadful, sub-par animation. Rated: 1/5 Sep 16, 2013 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) This disappointing CG animation fails to capture the sense of fairytale wonder that its narrative requires. Rated: 2/5 Sep 15, 2013 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It doesn't look bad, but the spark of originality and interest is lacking. Rated: 2/5 Sep 12, 2013 Full Review Cleaver Patterson CineVue A witty pastiche of medieval European legend which should enchant audiences of all ages. Rated: 3/5 Mar 2, 2019 Full Review Angie Errigo metro.co.uk The plot is as boring as it is baffling and the dialogue might well have been translated into English via a free iPhone app. Rated: 1/5 Sep 5, 2017 Full Review Renee Schonfeld Common Sense Media Predictable animated swashbuckler with a few chuckles.
