BRWC Staff Battle Royale With Cheese On reflecting as to why the film didn't take me, I was drawn to the fact that I just didn't really care, certainly, nothing as strong as pathos was drawn from me, for any of the individual characters, nor for their plight. Audience Member I liked it, I really felt for Molly and things felt a little too close to home, but I loved how it developed and the end made me cry Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was so incoherent it was almost unwatchable. You couldn't understand nor quite hear what the characters were talking about half the time which made it hard to follow...it helped that the plot was super simple. The acting was cringe worthy. I saw it at the drive in and when it was over you can hear everyone laughing and wondering what they just watched. I fail to find any redeemable qualities to this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The only reason I watched this movie was because it came before Friday the 13th at the drive-in. The movie is pretty abysmal with a plotline that is both confusing and boring at the same time. With a mix of bad writing and terrible acting the characters sound more like robot invaders pretending to be human. Perhaps quarantine has made me emotionally unavailable but I felt absolutely nothing for any of the characters, often rooting against their horrible and unrealistic decision making. Don't bother with this movie, it's not worth it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Tremendous cast! Would love to see this film again with the same cast, same story, but improved writing and pace of the film. I loved seeing New York so beautifully incorporated into the story. Would definitely watch a sequel! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Great casting, cinematography, and storyline. I especially enjoyed the great performances by the young cast. I believe this film would have been even better as a TV show, however. There were a lot of characters that I feel did not get developed enough to make a strong connection to. Overall great indie film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Julie A I loved this movie! Great story, cinematography, and excellent casting. I feel like this would be even better as a TV show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/20 Full Review Read all reviews
