Synopsis
In this dramatic reinterpretation of how the first feature-length documentary -- "Nanook of the North" -- was made, daring 1920s filmmaker Robert Flaherty (Charles Dance) brings the struggles of a young Eskimo named Nanook (Adamie Inukpuk) to the attention of the world. Nanook serves as Flaherty's companion on his northern journey. Together the two men fight to overcome an onslaught of natural hazards and brave the icy conditions of the Canadian Arctic.
