Susan Walker Toronto Star The script takes the film to the edge of banality, with Hope's ceaseless pondering. Rated: 2/4 Oct 13, 2006 Full Review Ken Eisner Variety Artist-turned-helmer Su Rynard gets the tough stuff (like the period backstory) right but then muffs easy business (like the contempo framing) in the time-jumping Kardia. Oct 13, 2006 Full Review Bruce Kirkland Jam! Movies Austere, melancholic and not entirely satisfying, Su Rynard's film nevertheless is worth seeing for its heartfelt ambition to explain the human heart. Audience Member Kind of "My dinner with Andre"-ish but more of a plot than talk. Not sure if there's substantive food for thought here or just a glamorous new age puff pastry. Liked Way of the Peaceful Warrior better but the cinematography was very nice. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
