Synopsis
This documentary features archival television footage of Danish author Karen Blixen, also known as Isak Dinesen. It includes conversations with those who were close to her during her lifetime, and the comments of scholars who study her work. The filmmakers recount the writer's early days living on a Kenyan plantation with her husband, and explore the ways her experiences there served as the inspiration for her best-known books. Onscreen, Blixen provides glimpses of her skills as a storyteller.
