Michael Ordoña Los Angeles Times Perhaps, despite its lack of structure, the film will inspire a new generation to investigate this funny lady who could sing the lights out. Jul 15, 2020 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix It has a lot of great archival footage that's very well-edited with the interviews ... [Kaye] Ballard has a very engaging way to her storytelling ... Because [it doesn't] show Ballard's life off-stage, the film looks like a feature-length 'sizzle reel.' Jul 30, 2020 Full Review Loren King Newport This Week (RI) Kaye Ballard - The Show Goes On! is an irresistible portrait of a gritty show biz survivor, but also a fitting tribute to show business itself. Kay K I only knew Kaye Ballard from tv sitcoms. She was loud and brassy in those, but she had an entirely different career prior to those shows. The film has archival footage of some very funny bits Ballard did on The Ed Sullivan Show. I also did not know she had THAT VOICE!! She was the Streisand of her day without the ego. Really good documentary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
