What a slow burner this is. I enjoyed every part of it. It does keep you on the edge of your seat in a subtle but unnerving way. Strong acting performances, especially by the lead. The creatures in it are refreshing & pretty scary.

It feels like a movie where people will make videos longer than the actual movie explaining all the symbolism, a completely boring watch that felt more like an abstract surrealist art film rather than a horror movie. I would have forgiven that if it didn’t commit the cardinal sin of thinking the audience were lobotomized halfway through the movie and felt the need to explain everything they saw in detail rather than let the audience figure out the film for themselves.

Of all the slow burns I've seen lately, this one held my interest the most. Good performances and very atmospheric. I liked the lead actress, she reminded me a lot of Annabella Sciorra for some reason. Surprised at the low ratings I went in with low expectations and ended up enjoying this one. It reminded me a lot of The Night House from a few years ago.
