Synopsis
Suzanne Somers plays herself in this biopic looking back at her life before she became a star. As a child, Somers is routinely subjected to emotional abuse by her alcoholic father (Ken Kercheval), and the effects of his abuse are far-reaching. As an adult struggling to make it as an actress, Somers must deal with suicidal thoughts, a failing marriage and a painful abortion. While she eventually finds success as an actress, it does little to numb the pain caused by her troubled past.
