Ken Jeong should stick to other people writing his jokes.

Unfunny from start to finish. The most painful parts were when you could see on his face that he knew it wasn't working. I have thought this man funny in the past and hope he is funny in the future, but this, my fellow funny seekers is not where we find our quarry.

what happened to social commentary in stand-up comedy? Or to even prepare an actual set, instead of just frantically talking, while aimlessly talking without a clear point.

Most critics have sticks up their asses when it comes to comedy specials, and theyâ(TM)re looking for something new and exciting that completely breaks the mold of all it used to be. Ken Jeongs special, he uses raunchy and profane humor that isnâ(TM)t entirely uncommon, but itâ(TM)s new from him since his roles have either been censored because of television or limited due to movie roles. Here he really shines in his own place and delivers a gut-busting and at times surprising routine that made me want more from the comedian.
Or maybe Iâ(TM)m just stupid.

I really wanted to laugh, but it was all just humble brags and name-dropping.

I made an account on here just to let other people know not to waste their time watching one of the worst "Comedy Specials". This lazy attempt to ride the gravy train of Netflix specials consists mainly of name dropping.

Jeong's enthusiasm and interplay with the audience make up for the lack of punchlines.

These recollections and other personal anecdotes find Jeong at his most relaxed and funniest. When he's going with straight jokes, the show becomes hit-and-miss in a hurry.

Ken Jeong doesn't really seize the opportunity to deliver an excruciatingly funny set or to push stand-up into bold new places here. Instead, he leans into the lazy "star recounts becoming a star" format...

But perhaps the most frustrating thing about You Complete Me, Ho is that there is a thread, a hint of a throughline, that, had it been workshopped and honed and sharpened, could have brought the house down.

Lightening fast with the crowd, but without much of substance to say, You Complete Me, Ho is a fast food comedy meal the comes with a surprisingly rich closer for dessert.

As more comedies and comedians continue to offer nuanced social commentary and observations on everyday life, Jeong's profane, stereotypical humor seems archaic by comparison.
