Sean L. McCarthy Decider James hasn’t used up all of his goodwill just yet. So if you’re already a fan of his, then you’ll love this... irregardless. Quinn A Kevin James likes to talk about baseball. This one is a bit of a slow ball. Many times I was smiling, often I would let out a light chuckle, but the jokes in this one are very safe. From complaining about how kids these days get awards for doing almost nothing to monologues about how confusing technology has become or using words you aren't sure how to pronounce, James sticks to familiar territory. It’s the kind of material that plays well at a family BBQ: relatable, clean, and never too edgy. That said, “Irregardless” never really swings for the fences. It’s content to bunt its way to laughs, relying on James’s everyman delivery rather than fresh insight or sharp punchlines. Fans of his previous work will likely find comfort here, but if you’re hoping for something bold or surprising, this special might leave you waiting on a curveball that never comes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review dan s I LOVED King of Queens. I REALLY liked James's movies (Hitch, Here Comes the Boom, Paul Blart, etc). And 'Sweat the Small Stuff' was a comedy special I listened to on repeat for years! So when I say I didn't laugh more than twice thru the first 35 minutes of 'Irregardless', and didn't "belly laugh" at all, I say it with a heavy heart. I couldn't get past the whole 'you should hit your kids with belts' nonsense, the weird sound effects that went on way too long, or how he made it sound like he didn't even like his wife (??). My wife and I were excited to watch this, but she stopped paying attention after about 10 min. I gave it 35 min, because of how much I enjoyed his previous stuff, but turned it off before it was over. Man, this one hurt! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Jardin P He must be going through something. As a comedian, he should keep it for the therapist. Amazon should have reviewed the show before filming it. His reputation is headed in the wrong direction. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Nasty R Not one big laugh the entire show. Dragged out some topics way too long. Glad I didn't spend money to see the show in person. I'm a fan of his but better days are past him. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Kim F that is the most not funny stand up comedy show I have ever watched, what a waste of 1 hour of my life. There was one mildly amusing bit about Cheerios, but the rest of it I had to play a game on my mobile to stay awake. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Martin S Not funny at all. Rehashing old parent jokes and observations that have been done countless times by much better comedians. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
