Anil Sinanan Time Out The plot is simply an excuse for Khan to trash guys who harass girls, make a smoke bomb, help star-crossed lovers elope, breakdance and steal from the rich to help sick, poor children. Rated: 1/5 Oct 23, 2017 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express It becomes a yawn. Salman kickin' it is fine, but tearin' up? Nahiiiiiin. Rated: 2/5 Apr 27, 2015 Full Review Anupama Chopra Hindustan Times Even if you're willing to ignore the logic-free story and buy heavily into the cult of Bhai, Kick is bumpy, and far too convoluted to deliver the joyride of a Dabangg. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 27, 2015 Full Review Manjari Saxena Gulf News (UAE) Please don't try to understand a Salman Khan film. Simply, love it. Rated: 3/5 Aug 31, 2017 Full Review Aarti Jhurani The National (UAE) With such a great ensemble cast, this film had so much potential, but I walked away with a headache and left behind three hours of my life that I'll never get back. Saqlain P It's an absolute combination masala and entertainment, fun to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Priyank M Best Acting Best Story Best Vfx Best Negative Role Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/23/23 Full Review Audience Member When the trailer of Kick came out, I actually thought this is going to be a superhero movie about a vigilante who saves people on a bicycle, because of how it was shown. I thought his superpowers will be enhanced senses. And of course that's what Kick is about, except it's not good. Kick is one of those Salman Khan films which basically remind you what Salman Khan films are all about. Plus this is directed by Kabir Khan, who is like the directors with whom Salman Khan makes all his films. When I watched it as a teenager I really liked it. But now...meh. Kick is about a guy named Devi Lal something something, who was born on 29 February because of which he became an adrenaline junkie. He was born laughing instead of crying, rode a cycle on the 10th floor sitting on it backwards, he has every degree on the planet, he doesn't do a job because he doesn't get a "kick", he pees upside down etc. So basically you get what kind of a person he is. He falls for a psychologist whom he calls Madam Psycho (apparently Salman Khan fans are supposed to find it funny). She insults him so he leaves her to become Devil, a vigilante who steals money to save kids who have cancer. The problem with this film is that it wants to be cool, but it doesn't have the means to be. Devi's childhood is shown in a cartoon with an animation that can even make Motu Patlu feel ashamed. When he is fighting the security guards, their bones are shown to get broken in Mortal Kombat's style, except the animation is too smooth to look natural. Devi makes a hologram at home which is supposed to trick Randeep Hooda into thinking it is actually him, but when he stands in the hologram's way it passes through him giving out light and sound, instead of the projector way that holograms are supposed to give. Kick is a fantasy for a chhapri, no doubt about that. It's something they'd love to watch. I only saw it thinking it's going to be something unique. But it has Salman Khan in it so what was I even thinking? If you are some Salman Khan loving chhapri who has never watched a single movie with good VFX, you might actually like this. But if you have seen literally anything else, you won't like it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie, in a typical Salman Khan-starrer fashion, uses sexist and hoodlum style language, which is glorified throughout. Such movies don't deserve to be spared. Some movies age better with time but this would be one of them which would fail as years pass by. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member TALK about weridness ,craziness ,madness and above all romance in one movie why have i not seen this like a million times already. a must watch 1000% , i assure you'l get a Kick out of it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice movie....love u salman Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
