The movie feels very, very thin indeed, especially as it repeats some of its better gags, like killing characters off accidentally. But the genre mashup is inventive, and the general atmosphere is funny enough to make this a cult hit.

This film is imitation Guy Ritchie, and that is not the most sincere form of flattery. Imagine if Tarantino remade Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None", but he was not allowed to use racial slurs. However, I'm confident that this movie will find a receptive genre audience. Kill Ben Lyk is not a bad film, it is just not very good. It does not have the self confidence of a truly bad movie nor is the dialogue clever enough to rescue the plot from mediocrity. I cannot recommend this film.
