Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid Overall, the movie plays like a decent "B" level noir, certainly worth viewing for fans of the genre. Milorad This move is an absolute Gem for anyone that likes older Movies. the shots of the environment are fantastic and the characters are very interesting. The story is very well constructed and always holds your attention since you never know what can happen next. The Movie is also very rewatchable and it's fun every time you see it. I love it. It's set in a very interesting location too, Las Vegas and rural Nevada, Not too often seen in Movies. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes older Movies, Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/14/23 Full Review John K I'm rewatching it as I am writing this brief recap/review. I consider John Dahl to be one of the masters of Neo Noir in early 90s. The Last Seduction and Red Rock West were masterpieces and Kill Me Again, an earlier outing, was terrific, if not on par with his later ones. All the elements of classic Noir are present, from Vals down and out detective to JWKs femme Fatale, but it's Michael Madsen who commands the screen, a definitive baddie as there was in 90s cinema, kinda like Alec Baldwin's Junior, who took over Miami Blues right around the same time. You can see elements of Red Rock, here, I guess a dry run before getting it perfect with Nick Cage and the great Dennis Hopper a few years later. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring!!!! B movie Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty cool little modern noir. All the classic tropes are there and they're done fairly well. It's nothing groundbreaking or all that memorable, but if you're looking to kill some time and want a film noir fix, you should enjoy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I may stand alone, but I consider this film a great homage to film noir. I really enjoyed watching it, and I thought the ending was satisfying. I love to hate femme fatales and Joanne Whalley-Kilmer does not disappoint me. First I loved her, then I hated her, and I wanted nothing more to see her get it in the end. The sad thing is--she is so selfish and crazed in this movie--you cannot be quite sure she will pay for her sins in the end. I say--watch it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review william s Madsen steals the movie in this rather pedestrian thriller. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
