Thiago B Nov 30 Death Shark is a film that struggles to find any sense of coherence or quality from start to finish. The plot is disjointed and poorly structured, making it almost impossible to follow or become invested in what is happening. Scenes are haphazardly connected, with abrupt jumps in the story that create confusion rather than suspense or tension. The pacing is inconsistent, dragging in some moments with pointless exposition and rushing through others that are supposed to carry dramatic or thrilling weight, which leaves the audience disengaged. The characters are flat and completely unrelatable. There is little to no development, and their actions often make no sense within the context of the story. The dialogue is awkward, unnatural, and sometimes unintentionally humorous, highlighting the lack of careful writing. The performances do not improve the situation; the actors appear disconnected from the material and deliver their lines without conviction, which makes it difficult to take the film seriously at any point. Technically, the film also struggles. The cinematography is uninspired and inconsistent, with poorly framed shots that fail to create tension or atmosphere. Editing is sloppy, with cuts that feel abrupt and poorly timed, further undermining the narrative. Special effects, which are crucial for a film about a deadly shark, are unconvincing and low quality, which makes action scenes feel almost comical rather than thrilling. The soundtrack does little to enhance the experience, failing to create suspense or excitement in key moments. While the film may have been intended as an entertaining creature feature, it ultimately falls short of even basic expectations for logic, coherence, and engagement. The story never builds momentum, the characters never feel real, and the technical execution is weak, leaving viewers frustrated and often laughing for the wrong reasons. Death Shark is a frustrating and nearly unwatchable experience that fails to deliver thrills, scares, or even a coherent narrative. It is a clear example of wasted potential, with a concept that could have been entertaining if executed with more care, skill, and attention to detail. Instead, it becomes a film that is difficult to finish, hard to take seriously, and nearly impossible to recommend. See more Read all reviews
