Bobby LePire Film Threat Kin Dread might owe to some of the great thrillers of yesteryear, but that shouldn't be taken as a flaw. Leon takes what works about those classic films and uses them to craft something original and engaging. Rated: 9.5/10 Nov 5, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I was excited about this film, and it delivered. Like other reviewers have already mentioned, Kin Dread has a bit of a Brian De Palma like vibe, and it totally works for this story. Paranoia, suspense, mystery—it's all executed quite nicely by director director Adrian Leon. This is a smart psychological thriller that deserves a place amongst the heavy-hitting indie thrillers—that's for sure. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review nina m I don't understand the good ratings on Amazon, or here for that matter. I'm a movie buff and have very diverse taste, I can appreciate indy or low budget movies but I felt like this was just above a school project. Aside from a few of the actors, the acting was bad and the cinematography was awkward. It wasn't a unique story and the "clues" that were being sprinkled in were amateurish, I didn't even care who the killer was in the end. It'll pass the time, but that's it, it'll pass the time--and that was an hour and half of my time wasted. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Original and interesting. What a nice surprise! A well-crafted movie with a plot that will steal your attention from start to finish. Well directed and with a strong cast, the sound design plays an important role in this story. Highly recommended! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review catherane s I love a mystery. This film kept me guessing and trying to connect the pieces. The lead, Ethan Smart, was especially good and believable, as were Patrick Cupo and Kevin Owyang. Adrian Leon did a great job pulling this film together. It's one of the better indie offerings. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
