Richard Kuipers Variety "Kingdom" bounces along with high energy and nice sprinklings of dry humor for the vast majority of its lengthy running time. Aug 16, 2019 Full Review Charles Solomon Los Angeles Times Director Shinsuke Sato's film may lack nuance, but fans of martial spectacles will have an enjoyable if exhausting time. Aug 15, 2019 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times The film acquits itself honorably, even if its ultimate message is disquieting. Aug 15, 2019 Full Review Randy Schiff Buffalo News Kingdom features magnificent cinematography, showing an unstable society struggling to fight an unearthly zombie menace. Jun 11, 2020 Full Review Julian Lytle Punch Drunk Critics This movie is fun and at times a bit goofy but still an energetic action period movie. It was definitely worth going to go see. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 11, 2020 Full Review Chris Sawin GeeksHaveGame Kingdom is a decent action adventure that just takes a while to really get going. The performances aren't totally satisfying and the story isn't exactly hard to follow, but it does feel like it's trying to be more convoluted than it needs to be. Audience Member It was freaking epic fight choreography and the story do stay close to the manga Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review gravityturtlefortress An abridged but great live-action sum-up of the first arc of the manga. As such, a lot of the character interactions that further built the dynamic between the group was cast to the wayside so it ended up looking like "things happening and everyone just goes along with it given the situation at hand". The action was over-the-top and beautifully choreographed. It's a great movie and I hope there are plans to cover future arcs. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/19 Full Review Ryo Many great action scenes!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/21/19 Full Review Gaming N fun movie with good fight scenes Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Will G. F It's no rurouni Kenshin but it's got some kickass cinematography and sequences. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Sonia I Amazing! I highly recommend everyone to watch Kingdom. It will keep you at the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next. It's 2 hours 13 minutes long and I wish it was much longer.
