Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post [Cameron's] characterization of Jesus as a "material" gift to us from God - evidence, he claims, that God wants us to shop - should offend anyone who balks at placing the Christ Child on the same scale as a $25 gift card. Rated: 1/4 Nov 19, 2020 Full Review Jesse Hassenger AV Club Preaching aside... Saving Christmas is a shoddy 80-minute feature that contains approximately 50 minutes of actual moving footage. Rated: D- Sep 14, 2018 Full Review Christy Lemire ChristyLemire.com It is The Room of Christmas movies. Actually, The Room is more enjoyable. But you get the idea. Rated: 0/4 Nov 21, 2014 Full Review Heather Dockray Uproxx Cameron's movie is a PSA dressed up as a comedy marketed as a movie. Nov 19, 2020 Full Review Paul M. Bradshaw Digital Spy By the time the filmmakers and their entire families have brought the film to a close, you just feel sorry for them. Nov 19, 2020 Full Review Daniel Barnes Dare Daniel From the ska-punk version of "Silent Night" that plays over the opening credits to the 10-minute end credits sequence filled with bloopers and beatboxing, this is a 79-minute film that feels like it will never end. Mirius L One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I think i lost at least 20 IQ points from watching this Idiocy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Angie P The lights on the menorah in the Holy of Holies, was made FROM a tree and it did not look like the Christmas trees inside a home. "Reasoning" is a great danger and I am sad that Cameron used his reasoning to come up with a movie about why Christians should celebrate Christmas. I think he should've used his influence in another way like sticking to the gospel and the truth therein. Christmas is NOT in the Bible - Christ is! He is the Anointed one who was born for all the "whosoever who believed in Him…" God forgive us because we don't know what we are doing. May Peace dwell in our hearts as we listen to His commands vs man's reasoning. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Luis A Oof! That was actually painful to watch. It was so poorly acted and directed and the dialogue was cringe. I'm actually not sure what the point was. I mean I get what they claim the point was, but if anything this is a commercial against a Christian Christmas. Every time Kirk Cameron makes an argument it's one that falls apart the moment you put any thought into it. The assumption is that you will just accept everything he says and not notice all the loose threads. It's smug and a ‘message' movie with no ability to convince anyone not already drinking the Kool-aid. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/25/23 Full Review Jill A I was having a bleak Christmas. I work at a major coffee chain. Most of my close relatives are deceased or far away. I had never heard of this movie before. In fact, I have only been a Christian for just over 3 years. This isn't a bad movie. It is very cute. It cheered me up. I hope I can hold on to some of the cheer it brought me through out the rest of the season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/23 Full Review Blu B 0 out of 5. It's like sitting through the most awkward church sermon possible. 99% of the movie could be reduced and cut down to just the opening scene of Kirk explaining the entire "movie" and message in 4 minutes. The end dance number is one of the cringiest things I've ever seen. The dialouge literally puts you to sleep and it just has no point at all and just preaches. Skip This. Everything is beyond bad about it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/23 Full Review Denise C The movie challenged the thought of Christmas being so commercialized. It gave insight on so many traditions actually having, Christian, biblical meaning. It's a must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
