This would have seemed groundbreaking as a sitcom in the 1970s era of Lear, and Peleg occasionally hits his kind of socially satirical notes for today. Every tired comic clash possible comes out - Israelis, Palestinian, Germans, Holocaust, Zionist, etc.

There is a huge lightness to Kiss Me Before It Blows Up. Peleg’s film is filled with laughter, and captures the complexities of the generational divide, but also the strength and love of families who support their children’s decisions as adults.
