Straitlaced senatorial hopeful David Stratton (John Forsythe) has no idea what he's in for when he arrives home from a trip to find sexy teen Jody (Ann-Margret) curled up asleep in his daughter's bed. Soon, delinquent Jody is holding David -- and his plush suburban home -- hostage while she hides out from the cops and throws wild parties with her beatnik pals. David, terrified of scandal, agrees to drive Jody and her friends to Mexico, a decision he regrets when the ride gets out of control.

Dan Callahan House Next Door The laughs keep coming, and the biggest one is always when existentialist Grant (Richard Anderson) barks to Troy Donahue-like Ron (Peter Brown), "Now cool it, you creep, and co-exist!" Steve D Margret is trying too hard and can't pull this sort of thing off yet. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall, I found this film to be a delightful drama with witty and mysterious moments.  Performances from the leads are pleasing, with Ann-Margret delivering a role that goes from cute and charming to insane and crazy.  The film is packed with a fun musical theme which I adored, and I found the story to be rather engaging given the situation our characters find themselves in.  Sadly some character choices are a little painful to watch, and the second act does slow down dramatically before an exciting finale. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved the movie; it is an excellent crime film. Also, Ann-Margret was perfect for the role of Jody. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Caught the MST3K version of this and it was a helluva lot of fun, would actually be interested in seeing the unedited original at some point, just to see what I might've missed on the first viewing. Give it a rental! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a good movie by any means, but I enjoyed it. Ann-Margaret acts so over the top as the young manipulative JD, I couldn't help but love her. Forsythe was wonderful too, although I kept imagining he was his character from Bachelor Father, which just made it more interesting for me. The story is well constructed too, but the ending isn't all that believable. So, enjoy it for what the description calls 'camp' value. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall a bland slow story with stale acting and uninteresting characters. The plot goes no where, although somehow ends up satisfying. There are some entertaining moments, but nothing too memorable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
