Her legs and arms were cruelly torn apart, her extravagant dress soaked in red; she's a monster who finds herself in a tragic state, lying in a pool of her own blood. However, Koyomi finds her to be beautiful this way.

One of my favorite Animes/Mangas so of course I had to see it on the big screen. Such beautiful art style, amazing voice actors, and soundtrack. Shame they didn't leave the film to it's entirety, but understandable.

Like most fans of the Monogatari (i.e., story) series, I started with the Bakemonogatari TV series. I kept watching the sequels, getting more and more hooked, and then i learned that three prequel movies under the blanket name Kizumonogatari had been released theatrically in Japan between 2016 and 2017. I could not find them available to watch or download anywhere on the internet, so I bought all three of them in Blu-ray format. This new film is a compilation made from them, which accounts for its length. The story continued as different TV series ending in 2018, until last month when a new one was released on TV in Japan that I am currently watching on Crunchyroll. This is definitely not a series for everyone. There is a lot of violence, sexual themes, some of them pretty perverse, etc., but if you like it, you will be hooked. I've watched a lot of anime and haven't seen anything else really like it. If you watch this movie, you will be starting at the very beginning of the story, and your reaction to it will definitely tell you if you should proceed.
