When Casper (Casper Christensen) attempts to break into Hollywood, his estranged friend Frank (Frank Hvam) follows him to Los Angeles, seeing an opportunity to salvage their strained relationship. As the guys come face-to-face with a number of LA's denizens -- including Isla Fisher, Adam Levine and "Game of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau -- it's clear that they're equally ready and willing to take on Hollywood, but is Hollywood prepared for Casper and Frank?

Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Illustrates the diminishing returns inherent in going back to the shock comedy well. Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Josh Kupecki Austin Chronicle Klown Forever feels more like a series of events rather than a cohesive whole. That's fine with me, as I enjoy spending time with these bumbling, emasculated males grappling with their ultimate insignificance in the world. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Katie Rife AV Club Although both Hvam and Christensen are willing to quite literally bare all in the name of comedy, the blue streak is tempered with more subtle, character-based bits ... Rated: B- Sep 1, 2016 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture Lacks the heart necessary to redeem its embrace of taboos. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 20, 2019 Full Review Sean Mulvihill FanboyNation.com Though Klown Forever does have its moments that are genuinely funny, it lacks the same commitment to questionable taste as its predecessor and the result is a fairly disappointing comedy sequel that feels restrained when compared to its forbearer. Rated: 3/5 Nov 1, 2018 Full Review Courtney Howard Fresh Fiction Not only did the filmmakers forget who these characters are, their "nothing is sacred" mentality has morphed, curdling into something much more mean-spirited and duplicitous. Stephen C LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 39 minutes (1 39/60 hours) ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many clowns and loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/25/22 Full Review Audience Member Where the first KLOWN film served to encapsulate the TV show, this one feels like a desperate and belated attempt to capture the glory days. Frank visits Casper in Los Angeles to persuade him to return to Denmark, but all kinds of borders are crossed in the process. It's not the tired gags or pointless cameos that fail this film, it's surprisingly short on humor and ends up driving a wedge between the series' best friends. Sadly, this is an entry that diminishes the legacy and upsets any notion of "forever." Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The first film took me by surprize as it worked out fine as a full lenght. When I gave this one a go I knew the creators where capable, but follow ups for medicre films tend to really suck. This is like the series, and like the first film. Casper moves to the states, while Frank feeling that he's in a crisis with many changes in his life. They hook up and every bad thing that can happen, happens. Just as dearing as the first one, but slightly less funny. This is not a superfun comedy, but it's an all right, easy digestable time killer. 4.5 out of 10 Great Danes.
