What to Know

Critics Consensus

KM.0's light touch and fast pace help carry this ensemble dramedy over some bumpy patches, but the end result still feels a little like going in circles.

It's all rather familiar and sitcomy. But its silliness is its salvation. Go to Full Review

The movie treats all its characters kindly -- especially in moments where it would be easy to go for the cheap shot -- but there's either not enough froth or meat on its bones to sate the appetite. Go to Full Review

01/07/2013 Kilometer 0 refers to the place located in Madrid in which all distances in Spain are measured from the capital. It becomes the meeting point for several encounters, all designated at the same time, and between people who have never met. It's a familiar type of sitcom set up, where the characters never say enough to realize that they have hooked up with the wrong person and then much later realize their mistake. Most of these encounters involve sexual trysts, but for some, unexpectedly. For as silly and predictable as it is, the actors do a good job and the movie moves at a quick pace. See more 07/04/2011 A couple of stories intertwined on a fateful hot summer day in Madrid, this film is just about right - neither great, nor bad. See more 09/21/2010 A surprisingly good film. Great characters. See more 08/25/2010 It's as good as love actually, only that it's Spanish, with gays, and male and female prostitutes. lol. See more 08/04/2010 If you live in Madrid and want to get laid, you meet your date at the central plaza called "KM.O" Seven couples, despite the noon heat, meet blind dates and everything gets all screwed up with mistaken identities and misunderstandings. It's a screwball comedy done European style but it's not totally a waste of time. You'll giggle but not laugh. Some of the characters are really nice so I wouldn't mind knowing them since they're so charming. Concha Velasco as a middle-age, bored wife who hires a giggolo from a newspaper ad, is the most interesting character in the cast. (She reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor at her most seductive.) Elisa Matilla as the prostitute, Tatiana, has the most flamboyant role. Unfortunately, the male roles are not well written despite some of the actors looking like eye candy. The movie is very light stuff like dessert. However, if I ever visit Madrid, I'd want to stand at "Kilometer Zero" to see if I could steal someone else's hot date. See more 12/20/2009 Silly kind of funny. Very Spanish. Similar to Reinas. See more Read all reviews
