Audience Member 2nd fave of the Shochiku films. A bomber plane with an H-bomb is taken down by a cloud of insects while other poisonous insects are being bred by a Nazi war camp victim in order to take her vengence on humanity. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Genocide (AKA War of the Insects) was released in 1968 and pretty much disappeared from the public's mind, I'm sure. I wasn't around to see that, but it had to be the case. This is another in a long list of bad movies that put me to sleep. Actually, I think I fall asleep on most bad movies that come out of Japan, come to think of it. It seems like the Japanese are trying to do what the Americans were doing in the B movies of the 1950's and 1960's, but didn't really succeed (like a lot of them). The only thing really noteworthy about the film is its inclusion on an episode of Cinematic Titanic. Otherwise, it's pretty obscure. Watch if you dare.
