Apart from Dougherty's film, Krampus has been used woefully as producers and directors seek to cash in on anything remotely seasonal. Perhaps it's time to leave this particular character alone.

Krampus Origins suffers from poor characterizations for almost every person in the story. However, the acting is reliable from all involved, and the director ably juggles the drama and horror scenes to good effect.

Didn't realize this was a prequel film to both Krampus: The Reckoning and Krampus: Unleashed but I don't think it really mattered I watched this first. The acting is mostly god-awful and 80% of this film is a slow build-up to the reveal of Krampus and even then, it's a guy standing in a suit of armor that gives off dialogue long and drawn-out similar to an NPC.

B movie at best. Horrible acting. Super slow to start with. Bad effects. The story doesn’t make any sense either. Don’t waste your time. The first one was good....this one was far from it.

Knew we were in trouble from the opening crawl. Krampus Origins not only does not in anyway show us the origins of Krampus, it also tried to ruin Christmas.

One would think this movie would get better by the time the Krampus actually shows up, but this low budget so-so flick dive bombs into full on disappointment with their painful to watch creature.

You just have to watch about 2 minutes to realize how low budget this is. What a waste of time and for the franchise. Acting is horrible as well. Run, don't walk, away from this one.
