Down on his luck, George Kuffs (Christian Slater) is a broke young man with a pregnant girlfriend (Milla Jovovich). Desperate for money, he travels to San Francisco to visit his older brother, Brad (Bruce Boxleitner), to ask for a loan. Their reunion is short-lived, however, since Brad, who operates an auxiliary police unit, is murdered. A poor man's "Beverley Hills Cop", with a pretty awful and uneven script saved only by the charisma of Slater. But what really dates this feeble action comedy is the dreadful 80s signature score by Harold Faltermeyer, and his tedious synthesizers. The characters I really couldn't care about purely because they were so poorly defined and never crawled out of the 1st dimension. And the story was about as involving as painting a white wall with white paint using a toothbrush blindfold. 102 minutes I will not get back again.
