Living large and loving life, Po (Jack Black) realizes that he has a lot to learn if he's going to fulfill the next challenge from his beloved instructor (Dustin Hoffman). After reuniting with his long-lost father (Bryan Cranston), Po must transition from student to teacher and train a group of fun-loving, clumsy pandas to become martial-arts fighters. Together, the kung-fu brethren unite to take on the evil Kai (J.K. Simmons), a supernatural warrior who becomes stronger with each battle.

The biggest problem with “Kung Fu Panda 3” is tone: while the first two films WERE funny, the third film TRIES to be funny with too much hyperactivity and “gags” everywhere, saturating the viewers instead of making them laugh. Full review in Spanish.

While this is the weakest of the now four feature films, it does give Po his father and show his two fathers negotiating team parenting. Po must find his chi and fight jade zombies with the help of his biological father's panda village.

This is the best entry in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Not only does it improve on its animation quality, story, and humor, but it also is extremely faithful to Chinese culture, particularly with its usage of chi as a plot device. I also really loved the father-son bonding storyline and the fact that the villain, General Kai, was a former ally to one of the franchise's main characters, Master Oogway. Truly a powerful, well-animated, and action-packed DreamWorks Animation movie.

Synopsis
