Writer-director Steve Oedekerk acquired the little known 1976 Hong Kong karate flick "Savage Killers," then seamlessly blended portions of the film with new material he has directed to create a wild, off-the-wall, comedy feature film. Oedekerk wrote, directed and stars in "Enter The Fist," placing himself digitally into the old film, re-dubbing the characters, as well as shooting new scenes.

Boston Globe Rated: 2/4 Dec 31, 2005 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Naturally, much fun is made of the poorly synchronized dialogue inherent in kung fu flicks, but the gag pales with repetition, especially since Billy Crystal and Robin Williams did it better years ago. Oct 15, 2002 Full Review Robert K. Elder Chicago Tribune Not since Freddy Got Fingered has a major release been so painful to sit through. Jul 20, 2002 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Its best gags are great, but they make up something like 5% of the whole, and its middle-tier gags are pretty mediocre. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 19, 2017 Full Review Betsy Bozdech DVDJournal.com Steve Oedekerk's ode to bad '70s Hong Kong cinema is a gleefully bizarre combination of loving homage and merciless satire, bad special effects and unexpected jokes. Rated: 3.5/4 Nov 9, 2006 Full Review Jean-François Vandeuren Panorama Totalement con et absurde, mais aussi totalement hilarant. Rated: 8/10 Oct 29, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Christian M I absolutely love this movie, I love kung fu movies and I love silliness , there are some moments that don't hold up (the obligatory matrix reference, really, but also some of the CGI) but other than that there are so, so many gags that you will eventually start laughing, and then start laughing at yourself for being so dumb to laugh at the jokes, and it doesn't really stop until the movie ends, amazing. I'm both happy and disappointed that there will never be a sequel. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review David L This movie is great! I loved this all those critical critics should stop lying to you! This is so funny I don’t care that it kind of is low quality it’s funny and made me laugh 27 times! I watched this as a pre teen and it was great watched it again as an adult to my daughter she loved it. Happy to see others enjoy what I love! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Jerry C This is hands down one of my all time favorite movies. If you like off the wall nonsense you should check this out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Brian F I think it's a funny film that obviously spoofs the classic Kung Fu films of the 70's & 80's. Actual footage from a Hong Kong film starring the legendary "Jimmy" Wang Yu is used. Good for some laughs if you enjoyed martial arts films at all. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Spooky Crumbles M An ode to terrible martial arts films, “Kung Pow: Enter The Fist” is probably a horrible movie, but I’ll never admit it. This was one of my favorite films as a child (second to Kung Fu Hustle), and I remember laughing uproariously. The four stars are purely for the nostalgia. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Will D It's true that a lot of the movie is filler but what's funny is ridiculously funny. It's only 1 of 2 movies I've watched consecutively twice. Then watched the good part 10 x thrice. Have a couple of drinks & watch this flick. It's silly & stupid but so much fun. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews
