Petros T An amusing satire that deals with class, art and Christianity with an unexpected yet surely welcome amount of humour and goofiness, “La ricotta” is a pleasant and occasionally thought-provoking watch throughout, culminating in a fittingly grim, grounding finale. On the downside, it begins with an apologetic disclaimer from Pasolini himself, makes a point out of stating its meaning in the most blatant ways possible, including via the intentionally stiff acting, and loses steam in the second half.
