With the Qatar World Cup on the horizon, Tití Malvestiti (Jorge Marrale) and his daughter Erika (Natalia Oreiro) discover that this unique piece is about to be auctioned. For him, it's not just an object: it's part of his history, his identity, what he made us believe in. Thus begins an unexpected adventure--as absurd as it is exciting--that blends humor, emotion, and football spirit, in a journey that spans generations and connects us with something much deeper: what we become when we choose to believe we can. THE JERSEY OF GOD is inspired by an event as unusual as it is true: the story of the mythical blue jersey worn by Diego Maradona in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, with which he scored the "Goal of the Century," and which decades later became the most expensive object in the history of sports.

...not only did [the film] not succeed but it turned out to be a calculated, artificial work, in which the internal seams and certain external facades are noticeable. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The film blends comedy, though not the everyday-life kind, with drama that's refreshingly unpolished but never especially deep. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review
