Pregnant Brigitte (Béatrice Dalle) and her criminal boyfriend, Daniel (Thierry Fortineau), are arrested during a police raid. Due to his multiple jail breaks and extensive criminal record, Daniel is sentenced to 36 years in prison, which leaves Brigitte to raise their newborn child by herself. After serving a few months, Brigitte is released and begins learning how to fly a helicopter as part of an elaborate plan to free her lover from incarceration.
