David Rooney The Hollywood Reporter A sexy, atmospheric mood piece that marks German writer-director Kai Kreuser as a talent to watch. Jul 22, 2019 Full Review Ben Turner The Pink Lens A movie with a slight runtime but massive ideas, this is a piece that actually suffers from being too short. Schuh is outstanding as Waseem and you'll learn to love their weirdly dysfunctional chalk-and-cheese relationship. Rated: 3/5 Sep 1, 2021 Full Review Doug Jamieson The Jam Report A delicate look at sexuality and the painful process so many undertake to discover and accept who they truly are. Rated: 4.5/5 Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Alistair Ryder Gay Essential Condensing a rich, complex character study into a mere hour is no easy task, and to achieve this with a debut is even more impressive. Label Me marks Kai Kreuser as a director to watch out for. Sep 24, 2019 Full Review Mark Goodyear Battle Royale With Cheese Label Me's bold audacity makes for an impactful viewing experience. Keruser seems a more than capable director and will be one to watch in the coming years. Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Andrew Emerson Film Threat Label Me gets two crucial things right. In Schuch and Benda, Kreuser has found a perfect pairing, two performers who can pack worlds of emotional nuance into something as simple as a stare or a grimace. Zeke H Label Me is one of those films you have to see more than once because the protagonists, Waseem and Lars, perform so well to pull the viewer into each scene to the point where you’re no longer watching, but living each scene. So, you miss some of the film. Label Me left me wanting more. But at the same time, I feel the ending was perfect in that it left me feeling hopeful.
