Jonathan C I FUCKING HATE THIS FILM, SO FUCKING BORING AND SO FUCKING STUPID. the movie is the WORST. Fuck the film, and fuck anyone who likes it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/24 Full Review Regina P Tubi recommended this to me. I don't even know how these reviews are so high. I figured out the culprit very quickly. And the film was just cheesy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review Kimberly A I've loved this movie since it first came out. Suspenseful, thoughtful, haunting, and lots of twists and turns. A good mystery ghost story. I still enjoy watching it today.. it's a thumbs up for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Lorin S Classic thriller movie. It's beautiful and keeps the small town feel with the characters. I loved it since I was a kid. To me, it's nostalgic and heartbreaking not scary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Daniel K I was ditching school with two buddies at Hollywood high school on sunset in the late 80s when this guy pulled up in a convertible jaguar(?) and said "hey wanna go see a private screening of a movie I just made? I'll give you kids $20 each." and we were already so stoned. So he drove us just down the street off sunset and like Cherokee somewhere around there and it was a little film studio private theatre that sat like 20 people and the seats were huge and plush and had ash trays and reclined. The other guests were old people wearing like yacht peoples clothes and they were like looking at me and my buddies like "what?" And I think the guy who had brought us (Frank LaLoggia) explained to them that we were his guests. The movie was great. I think when I saw it, I recognized Lucas Haas from somewhere and also the lady who plays Mona from "who's the boss". It's a great kids movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Cindy L A thoroughly entertaining Halloween ghost story taking place in New England during 1962. Lukas Haas does a stunning performance in this epic tale based loosely on a legendary ghost story in Durand-Eastman Park New York. Worth watching. Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Lady in White tells a classic ghost story in such an everyday way that the ghost is almost believable, and the story is actually scarier than it might have been with a more gruesome approach. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Paul Lê Bloody Disgusting That sense of heartwarming catharsis also extends to the filmmaker, whose fierce efforts to make Lady in White — as he originally envisioned and without the same kind of studio meddling that affected his first film — paid off in the long run. Rated: 4/5 Oct 26, 2023 Full Review Jack Garner Gannett News Service Lady in While is frequently impressive film making that builds to an exciting, even frightening, conclusion. Rated: 3/4 Apr 15, 2020 Full Review Cathy Burke United Press International Lady in White, written and directed by Frank LaLoggia, manages to combine the eery and ordinary in a fanciful and melancholy ghost tale. Nov 8, 2016 Full Review Matt Brunson Creative Loafing There's wasted potential to spare in Lady in White, a low-key ghost tale that does just enough right to make the overall disappointment more pronounced. Rated: 2/4 Oct 8, 2016 Full Review Dustin Putman TheFrightFile.com A deliciously layered, visually atmospheric, gravely underappreciated seasonal thriller aflame with the embers of a classic campfire yarn.
