Cath Clarke Guardian Doggedly uncinematic and thinly stretched. Rated: 2/5 Feb 24, 2019 Full Review Tom Dawson Radio Times Even in the life-or-death stakes of the climactic aerial mission, the film struggles to convey any emotional intensity. Rated: 2/5 Aug 30, 2025 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Ambition and achievement are two entirely different things, and in this case the makers' reach has definitely exceeded their grasp. Rated: C- May 14, 2020 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Its a war movie with very few war scenes. Plus the relationships of the men in battle never seem fleshed out. Dale Samuel M Just incredibly boring! Despite the title of "Lancaster skies" they are almost never actually in the sky or in fact in or around a Lancaster, only during the first scenes and then the end, the film tries throughout to convey complex emotions but they try too hard and instead come across as annoying. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/25/25 Full Review David C (as Lancaster Skies - UK) Turned off after 20mins. Terrible acting, an awful script, and already too many bad attempts at conveying emotion to carry on watching. And the Directing?! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review John B I thought the war story itself had some merit and was good, however it just seemed to drag on and was unfortunately dull Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/04/22 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this movie. From the outset I knew that this had been filmed locally, by father and son movie makers, and had been made on a very small budget. With this in mind I did not expect a Hollywood blockbuster. What I did get to watch was a well made enjoyable low budget movie which I found very entertaining. Great to also see models being used for the flight scenes, instead of CGI. Well done Tin Hat Productions, will watch your next projects with interest. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Its so bad I stopped watching after one hour. Frankly I have no idea how I managed that length of time. The biggest issue? other than it looks incredibly cheaply made - the sound track is atrociously made. dubbed audio sucks, as for the film, nothing really happens, hey, maybe the second half of the film is brilliant - but who will ever find out? who cares? avoid it. life is too short for this tripe. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Dull movie. No action except in the very beginning, and the very end. Felt there was not enough exploration into the characters. Near the end, a critical event in one of the character's past was revealed, but there was no resolution. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
