Cath Clarke Guardian Doggedly uncinematic and thinly stretched. Rated: 2/5 Feb 24, 2019 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Ambition and achievement are two entirely different things, and in this case the makers' reach has definitely exceeded their grasp. Rated: C- May 14, 2020 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Its a war movie with very few war scenes. Plus the relationships of the men in battle never seem fleshed out. David C (as Lancaster Skies - UK) Turned off after 20mins. Terrible acting, an awful script, and already too many bad attempts at conveying emotion to carry on watching. And the Directing?! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review John B I thought the war story itself had some merit and was good, however it just seemed to drag on and was unfortunately dull Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/04/22 Full Review Greg O Absolutely dreadful and full of errors. The timeline was incoherent - the brother (Ron) was presumably evaluated to the country during the Blitz (1940) but saw a Lancaster flying, which didn't have its first flight as a prototype Manchester III until 1941. (Highly unlikely, therefore.) Appalling attention to detail. The salutes were all over the place - airmen not wearing caps were saluting (not done), and officers were initiating salutes when other ranks should salute first and have the salute returned by the commissioned officer. WAAFs in the men's barracks. Crew not wearing their oxygen masks while in flight. Wooden acting. I turned it off after 30 minutes as it was not worth watching any further. The only saving grace was the odd and too infrequent shots of Lancaster B.VII NX611 "Just Jane". A movie done on the cheap - and it shows. Woeful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/24/22 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this movie. From the outset I knew that this had been filmed locally, by father and son movie makers, and had been made on a very small budget. With this in mind I did not expect a Hollywood blockbuster. What I did get to watch was a well made enjoyable low budget movie which I found very entertaining. Great to also see models being used for the flight scenes, instead of CGI. Well done Tin Hat Productions, will watch your next projects with interest. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Manny P I've seen video games with better production values than this. The animation is almost child like. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/17/21 Full Review Audience Member Its so bad I stopped watching after one hour. Frankly I have no idea how I managed that length of time. The biggest issue? other than it looks incredibly cheaply made - the sound track is atrociously made. dubbed audio sucks, as for the film, nothing really happens, hey, maybe the second half of the film is brilliant - but who will ever find out? who cares? avoid it. life is too short for this tripe.
