Despite the title of "Lancaster skies" they are almost never actually in the sky or in fact in or around a Lancaster, only during the first scenes and then the end, the film tries throughout to convey complex emotions but they try too hard and instead come across as annoying. From the outset I knew that this had been filmed locally, by father and son movie makers, and had been made on a very small budget. With this in mind I did not expect a Hollywood blockbuster. What I did get to watch was a well made enjoyable low budget movie which I found very entertaining. Great to also see models being used for the flight scenes, instead of CGI. Well done Tin Hat Productions, will watch your next projects with interest. The biggest issue? other than it looks incredibly cheaply made - the sound track is atrociously made. dubbed audio sucks, as for the film, nothing really happens, hey, maybe the second half of the film is brilliant - but who will ever find out? who cares? avoid it. life is too short for this tripe.
