Michelle C I absolutely LOVED this movie. Beautiful (the story AND scenery) and inspiring. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/23 Full Review Matthew R Love this one, mostly because I am right around the corner from the ages of the characters. Gives me hope that life will continue past retirement. Plot solid, acting solid, views breathtaking. Good dream material. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Shock Therapy R I like to read the thumbs down critiques first. The things that the unsatisfied gleaned not from this film, is the deep friendship that goes into the volcano to rescue another and insists that everything will be okay… at least on this trip. Do you always need to learn something from a chalkboard or an easel? This is an experiential orgasm because the one who professed that he wouldn't go, later, did not want to leave. When the brilliant music started at the credits, I didn't either. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/19/22 Full Review georgan g Two men go on vacation to Iceland and discover more about themself and each other. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Two old retired men go to Iceland to get their mojo back. Kind of boring and disappointing. This would make a good viagra commercial though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't like one of the 2 main characters. A travelogue of Iceland turned out to be far more entertaining and informative than this. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle We're happy to go along for the ride with the film's odd couple, who make for interesting character studies -- and, besides, the scenery is stunning. Just don't expect that much will have been accomplished or changed by the time the curtain closes. Rated: 3/5 Sep 11, 2014 Full Review Soren Andersen Seattle Times Eenhoorn brings an understated wry quality to his performance that nicely counterbalances Nelson's unflagging bonhomie. Rated: 3/4 Aug 21, 2014 Full Review J. R. Jones Chicago Reader [An] engaging, low-key character study. Aug 21, 2014 Full Review Cory Woodroof 615 Film One of those lovely “old buddy” comedies where two elderly people just go hang out and reminisce on life in lovely vistas. Oct 21, 2022 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema Writer/directors Aaron Katz and Martha Stephens navigate this material with a surprising amount of confidence. Rated: 3/5 Nov 2, 2021 Full Review Charles Mudede The Stranger (Seattle, WA) Amazing that they made so much out of so little. Nelson relentlessly pumps out the comedy, and Eenhoorn convincingly counters this bombardment and brings a much-needed splash of sunlight to the film's end. Sep 6, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
