Audience Member BASURA. UNA DE LAS PEORES PELICULAS DE LA HISTORIA. UNA TOTAL PERDIDA DE TIEMPO. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member What appears to be a potentially compelling supernatural suspense goes a bit awry, unfortunately. Las Lloronas is well acted, but the story becomes too choppy, shifting quickly from scene to scene, character to character, and relying on flashforwards to build suspense. Which I initially took to be flashbacks and endeavored (futilely) to quickly interpret them to understand the past of the characters. Without fully exploring how this all got started, the story left me with the assumption that a gypsy family had gotten lucky, but made a mistake along the way. Which may have been explained somewhere in the story, but I missed it, as so much time was taken up with sexual tension and trying to escape a curse that has no apparent origin.
