Chris Nashawaty Entertainment Weekly Rated: B Feb 24, 2011 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy For the majority of its running time, this plays like a typical teen sex comedy of the period --- plenty of nudity in the service of plenty of ribald situations --- but it unexpectedly turns serious during the second half. Rated: 3/4 Feb 12, 2023 Full Review Chase Burns The Stranger (Seattle, WA) Overall, it's got strong Porky's vibes, with an exceptionally brutal ending that makes the film all the better. Dec 8, 2021 Full Review Todd Gilchrist Birth.Movies.Death. One of the things the movie gets especially right is the way in which teenagers are so desperate for grown-up experiences, but their emotions are too volatile to process them. Aug 3, 2018 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A barely tolerable raunchy formulaic teen comedy that turns unfashionably serious with a realistic downbeat ending. Nahin D Brutal ending but I loved this film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Rafael C One of the worst endings of all time Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/17/23 Full Review Reverend Elvis P One of Joe Bob Briggs': Favorite 1980s Teenage Sex Movies On the same par with "Porky's", "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "Meatballs" and "National Lampoon's Animal House". You've heard about it from your Mom and Dad who probably saw it from the backseat of their car at the Drive-In. Before "American Pie", Before "Superbad", Before "Good Boys" there was "Last American Virgin" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Jens B Ok, listen.. I'm a huge fan of the original eight part movie series, especially the first four. I've seen them countless times. Now we're in the coke filled eighties and Cannon decides to do a remake. I like 80's music more than 50's, so that's a plus. I think that the set design and whole production level is better than in the original. The original actors are way better, although I find the American ones more attractive. "Last American Virgin" feels like Davidson had no fun or interest in directing a remake of his own film and it shows. Both the original and the remake share the fact that the hot womanizer who gets the girl pregnant is played by a gay actor both times?! Why are there girls in this film anyway? Monoson and Antin's characters clearly want each other. Monoson just continues his character from "Friday the 13 - The Final Chapter" in being a dead fuck. All in all, it's very late, I'm drunk, and I don't know what else to say but: this is fine if you've never seen the original and it's first three sequels. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Charles M It's a generally enjoyable 80s t&a movie but the ending was pretty stunning to a 13 year old me. I'll always love this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review hayley b great sound track, an alright performance from the cast, gives off some porky's vibes. not a great ending, but was not expecting that either to be honest. a pretty good coming of age movie.
