Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy There are a few grace notes here and there that suggest, however slightly, the touch of [Sergio Leone], but in the main, it lacks very much personality in any way whatsoever. Rated: 5/10 Aug 6, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member J'avais "adoré" ce film quand j'étais enfant ! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite the directorial credit going to Mario Bonnard, he really only worked on the pre-production of the film, and was replaced very early on in production with his Assistant Director, who just happened to be Sergio Leone, making this Leone's directorial debut, technically speaking. The film is a big lavish italian epic sword and sandal feature, showcasing some of Leone's visual flair for violence and use of widescreen and color. The film isn't Leone's best work, and he isn't the icon he would become with "A Fistful of Dollars", but it if you like old epics like this, you may find some enjoyment here...but I admit that I really didn't care too much for this one, but at least the production was top notch.
