Anton Bitel Little White Lies [it] is pure genre, but that is not to say that its genre is pure, given how deftly it ambiguates itself between being a story of ghostly vengeance and a tale of psychological breakdown, while leaving the disoriented viewer to call the difference. Jan 20, 2016 Full Review Jordy Sirkin Jordy Reviews It A great disturbing film that builds tension and rewards you with some solid jump scares and haunting imagery. This film isn’t perfect and leaves some unanswered questions, but that doesn’t prevent it from having an effect. Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts A great, intense, twisted storyline... It has a little bit of everything. Rated: 7/10 Jun 1, 2021 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed The film builds up a suspense that turns into fear and uses practical and visual effects to great results. Rated: 4.5/5 Apr 14, 2020 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror Last Shift is profoundly, intensely, nightmare-inducingly creepy. Rated: 7/10 Oct 3, 2019 Full Review C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore A solid horror film with savagely effective makeup effects, atmospheric mood, and disturbing psychological thrills set inside a claustrophobic location. Aki K Overall an interesting concept. Even though there were some solid jump scares it was missing a good enough story to sell those. So in the end more uninteresting than actually entertaining. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Christian C “Confusing” = I have difficult following simple concepts “Bad writing” = I have never written anything in my life “Bad acting” = I get upset when I can’t pretend I’m the main character This movie’s practical and visual effects are excellent. The acting, story and screenplay are all serviceable to good - with some aspects of ‘Assault on Precinct 13’ and some from every “haunted cult” working better than others, it’s less interesting to hear the backstory than it is to see how a character reacts to the extraordinary when they’re written as a government employee in a profession filled with people rewarded for groupthink and dishonesty and punished for introspection and truthfulness. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Scott B It was Terrible IMHO. Hard to follow and just plain STUPID. Was so bad my wife and I were actually laughing about how bad it was. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/10/25 Full Review Veerapat B Garbage, ghosts and monsters design are lame asf, visually nothing special, poor jumpscares, poor writing, wasting my time, fall asleep few times Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Marsh X Very good psychological horror, this starts off pretty slow paced during the beginning but it all feels so suspenseful, and I was constantly anticipating a jumpscare almost throughout the whole movie, in the mid to late sections is the most intense and exciting. I did get scared a couple of times which I'll give it credit for, but I don't think that's the highlight of this film, the highlight is the psychological elements in the film that make you think about what's going on in the situation. Also a friendly reminder to take your meds if you're on them, because this is the type of stuff that happens if you don't. There is also a decision that I would have made that would have saved me from everything the main character experienced, but I guess there would be no movie if she had done the same, pretty well done and would recommend purely based off the psychological elements. 8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/03/25 Full Review Matt O One of the better low budget horrors I've seen recently, a solid 2.5/5 Engaging story with sinister twits to keep you watching.
