Anton Bitel Little White Lies [it] is pure genre, but that is not to say that its genre is pure, given how deftly it ambiguates itself between being a story of ghostly vengeance and a tale of psychological breakdown, while leaving the disoriented viewer to call the difference. Jan 20, 2016 Full Review Jordy Sirkin Jordy Reviews It A great disturbing film that builds tension and rewards you with some solid jump scares and haunting imagery. This film isn’t perfect and leaves some unanswered questions, but that doesn’t prevent it from having an effect. Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts A great, intense, twisted storyline... It has a little bit of everything. Isla B It's not the greatest horror movie I've ever seen, not by a long shot. The acting is sub par, and the tropes are pretty overused. But it's fun. It's genuinely creepy, and it's interesting. I had fun watching, sometimes that's all that matters. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Zoe T Awful film. Not sure how this equates to 100%. Don’t waste your time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/02/24 Full Review Audience Member Felt written by a high school student and directed by a college student. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Dylan G For a short hour and 27 minute horror film I think this was a perfect Watch with your buddies late night. It had a perfect amount of jump scares, and a pretty well thought out plot. Definitely a recommended watch if you’re in the mood for a good horror to give you a couple decent scares. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/14/24 Full Review Thom G While Last Shift reuses common horror tropes, it does so very effectively! The film is not only filled with jump scares but also succeeds in maintaining a highly tense and dreadful atmosphere throughout. Many viewers will be kept on the edge of their seats... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/10/24 Full Review Moira K I do like horror movies, and this was had quite a few reasonable scary, frightening moments. The plot was interesting. The acting however, was terrible throughout. I was amazed to have never seen any of the people in this movie before, and it was as though none of them put any effort into their performances. To give it 100% is pushing it, seriously, but of course this rating is based on the reviews of only 9 critics. That's not a genuine rating in my opinion, or from previous Rotten Tomatoes ratings. This has been happening fairly often recently, which I've found quite disappointing (considering how reliable Rotten Tomatoes used to be, and how much I've come to rely on it.) Anyway, to be a good movie, reasonable acting is required. A horror movie doesn't only involve of terrifying the audience. A plot is carried out by the actors who require some skill, otherwise the entire feature is likely to fall apart. This movie lot had quite a bit of difficulty holding itself together, due to the actors' ability and the storyline. I hope I don't have to continually double check Rotten Tomatoes ratings. I won't be watching something regardless of its rating, if only 5 - 15 people have reviewed it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
