Juliana Harkavy
Juliana Harkavy came from a Hollywood family, and went on to establish herself as an accomplished actress in her own right. Born on January 1, 1985 in New York, NY, Harkavy was the daughter of Berta Carela and Michael Harkavy, a prominent executive at Warner Bros. Studios. This lead to her first major acting role, at the age of 10, when she made an uncredited appearance in Alfonso Cuarón's adaptation of "A Little Princess" (1995). Harkavy spent her teen years in Los Angeles, training in acting at the Young Actors Space in Sherman Oaks, and attending high school at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, with a few years spent at boarding school in the South of France. After high school, she studied theater at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She landed her first starring role in the drama "Whatever Lola Wants" (2010), before going on to appear in the aquatic family feature "Dolphin Tale" (2011), and its sequel, "Dolphin Tale 2" (2014), and the horror thriller "Last Shift" (2014). On TV, Harkavy appeared on the likes of "The Glades" (A&E, 2010-13), "Graceland" (USA, 2013-15), and "The Walking Dead" (AMC, 2010-). Harkavy landed her biggest role yet when she was cast as Dinah "Black Canary" Drake on the superhero action series "Arrow" (The CW, 2012- ).
