Catherine Bray Guardian It’s encouraging to see low-budget early-career film-making with ambition. Rated: 3/5 Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Alexandra Heller-Nicholas AWFJ.org Last Straw is as much about the journey as it is the destination, and there’s a genuine feeling of delight as protagonist Nancy’s night from hell takes us to places its otherwise seemingly generic set-up might not prepare us for. Oct 23, 2023 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting The siege horror is effective, and Neal’s assured grasp on the tricky narrative framing makes for an engaging debut. Rated: 3/5 Oct 17, 2023 Full Review Chuck Bowen Style Weekly (Richmond, VA) Neal prepares us for another redux of “The Strangers,” with killers with funny masks circling the diner, only to make things more intimate and personal. May 27, 2025 Full Review Bee Delores Horrorverse Neal's understanding of genre delightfully plays out on screen, allowing the audience to go along for the ride. Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Lee McCoy DrumDums It's set entirely in a diner, which I love, and Jessica Belkin is a character you might be annoyed by at first, but give her a chance. She has a nice arc. This is what The Strangers Chapter 1 should have been due to the killers having a similar appeal. Rated: 7.5/10 Jan 14, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Andrew T. Ok for a low budget flick. Not sure why the main character was made to be so angry. Kind of ruined the movie for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/25 Full Review Luke N It's shot really well, like way better than you'd think. There's composition here that I've not seen before in low budget movies. The grade is great, the acting is really good, apart from the sheriff, he's a bit 2d. Anyway, apart from that, much better than expected. Definitely worth your time Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/12/25 Full Review Ian H Enjoyable slashery type movie with a few nice twists. Unlikable main characters unfortunately Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/01/25 Full Review Rachael D It wasn't a bad movie, I think it's because it never met what I was expecting.. the scene in the diner was pretty intense but apart from that I got a bit bored Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Jason S It’s really tough to like any of the characters in this movie, and after a twist midway through, it gets pretty boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/06/25 Full Review Carole E Please, please, DO NOT believe the 79%! This is a terrible, boring film. I fail to see how it was even made. The female main character is incredibly unlikeable, the rest of the characters have no real motives for their actions, certainly not that would explain their nonsense behaviour. Bizarre and not even worth 5 minutes of your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
