Limning a love affair between two Middle American women and its impact on the high school where both work, "Late Bloomers" is an eager-to-please comedy longer on good intentions and indie chutzpah than originality or insight.

The story is very cute. The quality of sound and film is not. The director and actors are good though. The ending is oddily unrealistic since the story has a very angsty and grocely realistic middle part where everything goes to hell because people are prejudiced. Still i liked it. It's nice to see middle aged women happily in love with eachother.
