Critics Consensus

Delightfully dark, Late Night with the Devil proves possession horror isn't played out -- and serves as an outstanding showcase for David Dastmalchian.

Audience Says

Late Night with the Devil does a great job of recapturing the late-night TV of the '70s, and horror fans will appreciate the way it doesn't rely on jump scares -- although they might not be satisfied with the ending.

KXF 3/5. Fun retro-styled indie movie. First 90% was great. The ending kinda flopped though with too much CGI and sloppy script writing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Tom C What a wild, freaky night at the movies. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/01/24 Full Review Shane M Great movie. Different than most scary movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Tyler S Was new and exciting! Couldn’t recommend enough! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review Robert O Interesting movie. I likely the old school setting. Nothing spectacular but it kept me entertained the entire time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Irwin F Interesting story, great design, horrible acting, horrible direction, horrible execution. Yes, it's unique, such a wasted opportunity. It may have been groundbreaking if it had actually been released in 1977, but found footage movies require a higher standard of realism and human reaction - this really failed on both fronts.
