Synopsis
This documentary short opens with an excerpt from a 1957 film by Jean Rouch showing an annual celebration in Ghana where Africans dressed as their British colonizers. It then transitions to footage of the Beaver Club's 1985 banquet at Montréal's Queen Elizabeth Hotel, marking the organization's 200th anniversary and attended by Canada's political and business elite. The filmmaker's commentary frames both events as representations of colonialism.
