Very much an in-house-made, authorised portrait, the film does a solid job of capturing the sweat, spectacle and subsonic kick of the live performances, but delivers only a sanitised version of why they're splitting up.

Beyond some harrowing episodes that pile up (love the Tesla gag) I never had the sense that the movie stood decisively upon its own two legs. That it’s not an amalgam of references being repackaged right in front of our eyes.

No matter how much I fought it, there's no denying the power of Swedish House Mafia's music; admittedly, I left the theater with the acoustic version of their infamous hit "Don't You Worry Child" playing in my head, and it didn't stop for days.

What ending? It just stops with no closure at all except the teen girl doesn't kill herself and finds the unlocked? Shelter happy to watch the last episode of friends. Nothing, nada, my wife thought she slept through the end.
