Having failed a secret mission for the Red Flower Society, Chinese folk hero Fong Sai Yuk (Jet Li) must try to get his hands on a special document by wooing the governor's daughter, Man-Yin (Amy Kwok). This doesn't sit well with his fiancée, Ting Ting (Michelle Reis), or with his martial arts-master mother (Josephine Hsiao). Fong enters a martial arts competition, where he faces off against the villainous Yu (Chuen-Hua Chi) as he battles to restore the Ming Dynasty.

Ronnie M Its a Jet Li movie. Sit back and enjoy the martial arts and story telling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/24 Full Review Audience Member Fong sai yuk 2 is the perfect sequel. we get double of everything. double the action, double the laughs and double the ladies. tis a good good movie~ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Fong Sai Yuk (Jet Li) is being initiated into the Red Lotus Society as this movie begins, but sinister forces within this brotherhood are attempting to use him in a bid to usurp power. The Legend Of Fong Sai Yuk was praised for its over-the-top slapstick, funny characters, Corey Yuen's brisk pacing, and lots of creative fight scenes; The Legend Of Fong Sai Yuk II dishes out more of the same. There are many wuxia films that are better than this one, but even diehard fans of kung-fu movies will find plenty of exciting visual spectacle that's unique to this film and this film alone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Review: After watching the first movie, which I really didn't like, I thought that I would give this film a chance to see were the director took this terrible concept. I'm glad that the director chose to bring back Fong Sai Yuk's mum, but he still stuck to the comedy element which was more silly than funny. It does get a bit serious towards the end, when his mums life is threatened by the baddies, but the storyline  seemed a bit pointless. Once again, people were fighting for every and any reason and the ridiculous choreography was so unrealistic. Personally I think the mum saved the day and the speed which Jet Li fights is second to none, but on the whole, the film really isn't my cup of tea. Disappointing!  Round-Up: After reading reviews about this film, it seems like most people really enjoyed it, but I can't see why. You've got this two girls fighting over Jet Li, in the most childish way, and you've got this man with the most ridiculous laugh, battling with Jet Li just to prove that he is better than him. I just hope that the next Jet Li movie is better than these two because I was expecting much better. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: HK$23million I recommend this movie to people who are into their Jet Li movies about a man trying to find out who is the traitor amongst the Red Flower Society. 2/10 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Most of the principle players from the first film return in this disappointing sequel rushed into production in an attempt to hit pay dirt twice in one year. While "Fong Sai Yuk II" contains few if any real damning flaws (aside from Jet Li's newly acquired feminine scream) everything you see and hear really amounts to nothing more than a retread of circumstances already covered by its far superior predecessor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Following Closely Behind The Previous Film, Legend 2 Once Again Re-unites Director Corey Yuen & Jet Li For Some More Martial Arts Mayhem. Like Before The Film's Back Story Is The War Between The Emporer & The Rebels. This Time Their Is A Mole Within The Rebel Camp & They Must Be Smoked Out, While Sai Yuk Is On A Mission Behind Enemy Lines To Recover A Wooden Box Which Contains A Highly Kept Secret. A Lot Of Comical Elements Have Been Dropped Here, & Is Given A More Serious Tone But Still Contains The Odd Comical Scene. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
