Alan Ng Film Threat For a Disney Channel original, you'll have fun with Lemonade Mouth, and you could definitely do a lot worse. Rated: 7.5/10 Jan 5, 2022 Full Review Emily Ashby Common Sense Media Besides the social themes, there are plenty that relate to family life, and the movie's message about honest communication between parents and kids is impossible to miss. Rated: 4/5 Sep 12, 2019 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Lemonade Mouth is predictably bland - you can't imagine a more fresh-faced and squeaky-clean bunch of outsiders than this lot - but for the film's target audience the performers and songs have enough fizz to hit the spot. N P "Lemonade Mouth" is probably the most grounded Disney Channel Original Movie that has been released thus far. Each of the diverse five characters have individual struggles in their personal lives, whether that's coming from an immigrant family, dealing with a new step-parent, or grieving a loved one. The direction is dealt with a lens of honesty and heart, that its counterparts have a tendency to fill with superficiality and nonsense. There are also messages of the typical kids film fare: standing up for what you believe in despite oppressive authority, and the like, but for some reason, I found "Lemonade Mouth" refreshing and real. "Lemonade Mouth" centers around a high school band that is formed, and the music is, for the most part, kinda generic but catchy at the same time - I don't remember what the songs were, but I was fine with it playing when it happened. Kids can still enjoy "Lemonade Mouth", maintaining the fantasy of being a rock star, and see themselves reflected in the characters, whilst older folk watching it with their families won't find it saccharine, appreciate the normalisation of topics and won't mind if it gets played another time. Lemonade Mouth 2?... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Colin S For Disney Channel standards it's the best out there. 10/10 DCOM Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Audience Member as bland and cheesy and cliche as it is it's pretty upbeat a group of people who never met and been outcasts band together to play music and speak to the generation alot of stuff the kids could use these days stand up, speak out, be heard, say what you feel, take a chance, make mistakes, risk everything, and sing your heart out the actors do well, the pacing is kinda off but the soundtrack rocks so much!
