Susan Shapiro Sojourner It takes this "new male" image to an absurd extreme, and the laughs are good for what ails you. Aug 21, 2019 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Mildly amusing French farce. Rated: B- Jul 13, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Cute as only the French can do. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Les Comperes exemplifies the farcical humor the French have long been known for. The focus throughout is on the ludicrous compete-or-cooperate antics of its two male leads, who happen to be sharply contrasting "types" of potential fathers. Nothing gimmicky, nothing deep here--just satisfying entertainment. Those who liked the better known picture 3 Hommes et un Couffin (Three Men and a Cradle) (1985) will appreciate this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member it's not relevant who the kiddo's real father is... the point is, he is definitely as resourceful as his mom :D Richard was very funny in this movie :D Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member hilarious comedy thanks to the caveman brute and suicidal depressive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite a funny film with a really nice cast! It's an old French comedy but it's well done and the actors are really doing a great job! It's quite smart & the scenario is good! I had a good time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The Czech title of this film is "Otec and otec" i.e. "Father and Father". Jean Lucas and Francois Pignon, the protagonists of the film represented by the brilliant actors Gerard Depardieu and Pierre Richard, two might-be fathers of Tristan, a 16-year-old boy who ran away from home, are asked by the boy's mother for help in the search for Tristan. The two men are absolutely different and they cannot believe that their friend, Tristan's mother, was in love also with the other man, but gradually they made a perfectly complete searching team and at the end they became friends.... The comedy brings many funny moments as well as ideas for thinking about parentage and life. I have seen it several times and if there is a chance, I will watch it again with a big pleasure.
