Synopsis
Narrated by Anthony Valentine, with a rousing accompanying score by Michel Legrand, this documentary commemorates 100 years of French cinema. Included are clips from early pioneers Gaston Velle and Lucien Nonguet, as well as highlights from some of the most celebrated directors of the 20th century: Jean Renoir, Jean-Luc Godard, Louis Malle and François Truffaut, whose visionary work was in part responsible for creating the vast market for foreign films we enjoy today.
